Joachim Betker has been in senior management positions for more than thirty years. He worked in automotive for Volkswagen, smart and Mercedes and joined Airbus in aeronautics. His areas of responsibility covered senior management functions as Vice President for sites and plants. He worked in Germany and France and was involved in various international projects. 
He conducted major change projects with a broad implication of teams, trade unions and external partners.

With his teams he was received the Industrial Excellence Award in 2012 (smartville) and 2017 (Mercedes Plant Bremen).
He is member of the EFQM network and certificed assessor of the EFQM model.

He studied mechanical engineering at the Universities of Braunschweig and Stuttgart and complete a PhD Thesis.
Joachim Betker is 63 years old, married, has three adult children and is living in the North of Germany near Bremen.
